Marina di Andora
Log book
Patrizio enters Marina di Andora harbour, which has the characteristic of being a public harbour with social significance, and therefore also open to small and very small boats, 4 or 5 metres long. The vhf channel to enter in communication is 9, the draught is 2-4 metres and 860 boat places are available, 10% of which are reserved for transit. The harbour faces east, so it suffers a little from south-westerly and mistral winds, but it is well protected. And it provides all the services on land that sailors and motor-boaters can require: water and electricity on the quay, laundry, two bar-restaurants, a pharmacy, a small boatyard, etc. Going into more technical details, anyone coming there can also have boatyard assistance for electronics, hydraulics, and garaging, with two 40- and 60-ton cranes.
We must also remember that Marina di Andora is at the centre of the Cetacean Sanctuary and from here there are excursions with marine biologists to go to make sightings. The harbour is also a Blue Flag one, and indeed leaving a boat here regularly means a waiting list of ... a few years! For transit, instead, there is no problem, prices go from €5 for small boats up to 5 metres, up to €100 for those of 21 metres (maximum length) for one day, everything included.
The harbour provides the following services:
- Financial services - ATM
- Wi-Fi
- Maritime bureaucratic services
- Laundromat
- Fishing articles
- Used oil collection area
- Short-stay car park
- Long-stay car park
- Post
- Broker services
- Catering services
- Pharmacy
- Assistance for disabled people
- Services for animals
